The Digital Mark Twain Day by Day Wiki is part of a larger project to create a new digital version of David Fear’s Mark Twain Day by Day: An Annotated Chronology of the Life of Samuel L. Clemens. The digital project, generously supported by the Susan Jaffe Tane[1], aims to make Fears more accessible and searchable, and, above all, useful to researchers.
In doing so, we are not only creating a digital version of Fears' work but also bringing it together with Scott Holmes' exceptional digital project, Twain’s Geography (twainsgeography.com), network visualizations, new search capabilities, and a more robust, user-friendly interface.
The Wiki will serve to give scholars working on the project quick access to documents and versions in different formats, from the original publication to a WikiText version. At the same time, allowing us in real time to make changes and edits.
