The Digital Mark Twain Day by Day Wiki is part of a larger project to create a new digital version of David Fears' Mark Twain Day by Day: An Annotated Chronology of the Life of Samuel L. Clemens. The digital project, generously supported by Susan Jaffe Tane, aims to make Fears more accessible and searchable, and, above all, useful to students and researchers.
In doing so, we are not only creating a digital version of Fears' work but also bringing it together with Scott Holmes' exceptional digital project, Twain's Geography (twainsgeography.com), network visualizations, new search capabilities, and a more robust, user-friendly interface.
This Wiki (links below) will serve to give scholars working on the project quick access to documents and versions in different formats, from the original publication to one rendered in WikiText. Using a wiki not only allows us access to documents in an organized way but allows us to make changes and edits in real time.
